What a great service yesterday to as we began our journey from the Triumphal Entry through the cross and the grave to the hope of Easter Sunday! It was nice to see so many in attendance and others joining us online. There was good singing, good playing, and James Mailhot’s singing of “The Holy City” was so inspirational. It was a great way to start this special time of the year as we remember Jesus’ final week of earthly ministry. Thanks so much to those who spent time decorating the sanctuary to make it look so nice. Everything came together to make it a moving service.

Let me give you a special invitation to the Maundy Thursday service at 7pm. We will be meeting in the Fellowship Hall this year. The Ministry Team has planned a very meaningful service. There will be some dramatic readings that will remind us of the events of that first Thursday evening which began in the Upper Room, saw Jesus arrested in the Garden of Gethsemane as his disciples stood by, and ended with Jesus on trial and falsely accused. We will also be celebrating the Lord’s Supper together. This would be a great time to invite your friend, family member, or neighbor to come along. Please note that this service will not be live streamed.

Remember that on Easter Sunday we will be having breakfast at 9am instead of our normal Sunday School. Our worship service will be at the normal time of 10:10am. The choir is going to be bringing two special numbers and we will be celebrating the Lord’s Supper together. There will be no formal fellowship time following our service.

This is a very special week and both of these services are special times of remembrance that only take place once a year. We hope that you will join us as we together remember Jesus’ commands to his disciples on the night when he taught us to celebrate the Lord’s Supper, and to remember Jesus’ resurrection.

Hope to see you there and bring along a friend.

God bless,  Brian
