Our Return and the Annual Meeting
Our Return and the Annual Meeting
Josanne and I were so blessed to be able to be back with our North Danvers church family yesterday. We had a fantastic trip and enjoyed ourselves immensely, but it we missed being in worship with you all while we were away. It was good to be back. Several of you have asked, and we will be planning a time to share a bit about our trip and to show a few of the (many) photos we took. We’ve got a lot of stories, so we need to whittle them down to a manageable size.
Yesterday was also a good reminder of how blessed we are to be at North Danvers. The Annual Meeting is a good time for us to be reminded of all that’s been accomplished in the year past, and to look ahead to where God is leading us in the year to come. I am encouraged about what has been accomplished in the past year. I want to remind us that we need to all work together with God’s strength and in unity to continue to step faithfully into his calling and vision for us. Now is not the time to become complacent, but to make sure we are all giving of our best effort to go where God is leading. As our mission statement says: “We are followers of Christ led by his Word, reaching out in love.” This is not a mission that can be accomplished passively, but requires our active engagement.
Make sure that everyone checks their birthdates, anniversaries, addresses, etc. that are out on the tables in the fellowship hall. It is your responsibility to make sure your information is correct! Terri and I will be working to finish up the directories in the next few weeks.
Remember the benefit for John Malcom next Sunday afternoon at North Danvers as well.
We are also looking forward to some other activities. Especially notice the special UNO tournament we have coming up in February. UNO has been chosen especially because this is an activity that can be enjoyed by all ages. This night is a good opportunity for everyone both young and old-ish to come together, fellowship, and have some fun! Make sure you put it on your calendar.
Again it’s so good to be back, and Josanne and I are blessed to be a part of North Danvers.
God bless you all,
Brian
